Invest in MV canvasses for attractive coastal land and projects at the EXPO REAL Trade Fair
At the EXPO REAL Property and Investment Fair (held in Munich from October 8-10, 2018) Mecklenburg-Vorpommern presented itself as an attractive site for investments in trade and tourism. Appearing as a society for the promotion of regional economy, Invest in MV shared booth B2. 141 with the Hanseatic City of Rostock at this international trade fair focusing on commercial property and investment. The business promoters from MV 19 brought along a whole portfolio of attactive development projects, real estate properties and sites from all regions of the federal state.
“Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is an exceptionally appealing and competitive business location situated in the very heart of Europe. Our people are both qualified and motivated. The infrastructure is closely geared to business needs and administration is fully customer-focused. The Ministry of Economics lends consistent support to commercial enterprises out to generate investments and create new jobs, thus improving prosperity as a whole”, assured the State Secretary in the Ministry of Economics, Labour and Health, Dr. Stefan Rudolph prior to the run of the fair. “Industrial estates at the waterfront and in the surrounding areas – plus the role played by our region as a hub for the flow of traffic, goods and services in the world – are valuable assets from which we benefit at both national and international level – alog with all those present at the EXPO REAL in Munich“, stated Rudolph.
Invest in MV had an exceptional package in store for trade specialists assembled for the Munich expo, all smartly presented in the society’s project portfolio “Invest at Water's Edge 2018”. These included the industrial estate Invest!Port Rostock-Laage almost on the doorstep of the Rostock-Laage Airport, further enhanced by tourist land plots situated directly along the coastline in Ribnitz-Damgarten, the port and on the banks of Lake Claassee in Rechlin-on-the-Müritz. Oher favoured spots include the power engineering and technology site “Lubminer Heide“ as well as tourist development areas in the vicinity of Altwarp in the Stettin Lagoon (Stettiner Haff).
“A warm welcome is extended to investors exploiting our region. We are exactly the right people to contact for companies wishing to establish themselves in the area”, said Michael Sturm, Managing Director of Invest in MV. “We reckon that our presence at the fair will form a sound basis for contacting project developers, estate agents, banks and commercial enterprises. One outcome of the success gained from regularly ongoing and targeted trade-fair involvement is the decision of the Raben Group to build a new logistics centre in Fahrbinde following initial contact with us at the EXPO REAL. This project is due to undergo completion by the end of 2018 and will create 135 jobs.
Another example illustrating the vital importance of attending the EXPO REAL is a tourist project launched by the Munich-based real estate sales corporation W&N GmbH. Following negotiations conducted with us at the EXPO REAL, the company implemented a hotel and apartment resort in Börgerende situated directly on the beach. Following the launching ceremony in July 2018, the new complex is being operated by the prestigious hotel chain Upstalsboom. This investment has created 40 permanent jobs.”
