The Oberaigner consortium was founded in 1977 and today is one of the leading specialists in the development and production of automobile system components. In July 2012, Oberaigner officially inaugurated a new plant at Rostock/Laage airport. The site selection was based on factors such as proximity to an international port, direct links to the Rostock-Laage airport, the enlarged infrastructure and the highly-qualified personnel. In the 16,000 square metre hall, vehicles such as four-wheel drives undergo refittings. The vehicles are then exported all over the world. The product range includes the production and development of entire drive shafts, transmission, limited-slip differentials and up to six-wheel drives.
